After condemning the recent attacks in Paris, Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed condemnation once again, this time, for the terrorist attack in Mali.
President Xi Jinping strongly condemned the attack on the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali. About 170 were held hostage in the heat of the seige and up to 27 - including three Chinese nationals - lost their lives. Four other Chinese nationals were rescued from the site. Wang Yi, political counselor of the Chinese embassy in Mali, said that the four rescued Chinese citizens are in stable condition.

In a report by China Daily, Xi vowed to strengthen China's "international anti-terrorism cooperation." He also reminded all Chinese departments abroad to protect and secure the safety of the Chinese nationals.
"China will strengthen cooperation with the international community, resolutely crack down on violent terrorist operations that devastate innocent lives and safeguard world peace and security," Xi said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei also sent his deepest condolences to the family of the victims. According to Hong, the Chinese Foreign Ministry and the Chinese embassy in Mali immediately called for an emergency response after the attack took place.
"After the attack happened, the Chinese Foreign Ministry and the embassy in Mali immediately initiated an emergency response and no efforts were spared in the attempt of rescuing the hostages," said Hong.
According to The Australian, two allies of the Al Qaeda - both based in Mali - have claimed responsibility to the terror attacks.
