The Saturday night showdown for the heavyweight world title between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko will go on as planned following a row over the ring.
There were suggestions that the boxing match could be called off after Fury and his team complained that the surface of the ring at the ESPRIT arena in Dusseldorf is allegedly too soft.

Following talks for almost two hours, Klitschko accepted that beneath the canvas, a layer of foam would be removed and the fight will therefore take place as scheduled.
According to BBC News, Asif Vali, Fury's agent, said the showdown will go on as planned. He confirmed that there were three layers of foam and one is being removed for health and safety reasons.
On Saturday morning, Fury and his team visited the ESPRIT arena as part of the Briton's final arrangements for the challenge against WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion and WBA Super. The event will be exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The Manchester fighter, however, found the ring to be somehow spongy in some areas, with his feet sinking into the surface.
To him, the thick layer of spongy material restricted his movement and was a deliberate move by Klitschko to gain the upper hand during the show.
Mick Hennessy, Fury's promoter, on Saturday morning told Sky Sports News HQ that there were being told it is not completely finished yet. He confirmed that he spoke to Tom Loeffler, Klitschko's promoter, and relayed their concerns after seeing the preliminary canvas. He claims Tom said that he is going to get it finished and then they can all meet and make sure it is right, sky sport reported.
He argued that they just need some common sense, because it is in both fighters' interest and the public's interest that the surface is right. Otherwise they won't get the performance that we were all looking to see.
Speaking before the row was called off was Tyson's uncle and trainer Peter Fury who said that they have two guys who weigh 112 kilograms sinking in the canvas. These are super-heavyweights so the canvas needs to be a hard surface for that reason. When they are moving quickly, anything can happen.
He was however very thankful that they went over that issue that morning and highlighted the problem so they got plenty of time to remedy it. He added they were just after a standard ring. The ring saw was super soft hence, it would be ridiculous. It would affect Tyson and ultimately Wladimir as well. Both sides have to be happy with it.
The showdown was scheduled to start at 21:30 GMT.
