Ouch!

Katy Perry took to Instagram to post a very graphic video of her nose getting pierced, captioning it with "Last time I did this I was on my own with a safety pin & cube of ice @ 13. This time I thought it was best I left it to the pro's. Sorry mom (again)."

The said video was liked by 73.5 million users on Facebook and by 270,000 of her followers on Instagram.

One of her Twitter followers commented, "@katyperry ow! It hurts just looking at it!", while another wrote, "@katyperry YASSSS! Had to cover my eyes though for a moment not gonna lie."

Although the 29-year old popstar was clearly willing to have her nose pierced, she winced in pain as the professional artist, wearing purple surgical glovees, pierced her nose with a needle. "This time it's way easier," the artist stated.

"Owww," she said, clearly in pain from the piercing. The artist apologized for the pain and shared, "don't say anything because you're making me hurt."

Perry once shared during a guesting on the "Tonight Show" that she asked her mother for permission to get her nose pierced when she was 13 but that she had said no and that "it was ridiculous." So being the rebel that she was, Perry took a safety pin and an ice cube and pierced her nose while her mother went out to run an errand.

When her mother came home, Perry said that she wasn't mad and that she said it wasn't as bad as she thought. However, due to the DIY piercing, Perry was left with a scar on her nose that people notice when they are close to her.

Aside from her scar, other body modifications that she had done in her body include six tattoos, including a "go with the flow" text in Sanskrit on her arm, a peppermint, strawberry and cherry blossoms on her ankle.

The "Roar" singer is currently on her "Prismatic World Tour".
