'Sword Art Online' Season 3 Starting From Volume 9 and to Include Alicization? Release Date by 2015-End?

There are speculations that "Sword Art Online" Season 3 may start from Volume 9 and may include Alicization.

"Sword Art Online" Season 2 was a huge hit with the audience. Since it ended, fans have been looking forward to the third season, according to Yibada.

"Sword Art Online" is not only a fan favorite, it was also given the highest rating for an anime series, states KPop Starz. It raked in profits for Aniplex and A-1, which is prompting them to continue the series for another season. Even though nothing is yet confirmed, it is safe to assume that the producers will be more than willing to make another season of "Sword Art Online."

Making another season will also help the anime series raise its ratings on Netflix. Netflix is one of the most popular media streaming giant currently, and if it is impressed from "Sword Art Online," there may be a 2016 release of the series on its channel.

"Sword Art Online" Season 2 ended with the Mother Rosario arc. This was covered up till Volume 7. After that, Volume 8 consisted of side stories, the majority of which contained Caliber. This means that "Sword Art Online" Season 3 will most likely begin from Volume 9, and will include the Alicization arc.

Author Kawahara Reki confirmed that the release of the movie release will not affect the release of the mini series season. It was already confirmed that the movie will feature an original story that will be taking place after the Mother Rosario arc.

The possible release date of the "Sword Art Online" Season 3 is expected to be during the end of this year. There is also a possibility that new episodes will come out even later, sometime in the first half of next year.
