"Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson has been spotted sporting a lighter hair color this past few weeks. Although the production for the highly anticipated sequel has been pushed for a while, many fans are starting to wonder if Anastasia Steele will have blond hair.

According to In Style, Johnson was first seen with her blonde locks at the premiere of "Black Mass" in the 2015 Venice International Film Festival. The outlet pointed out that although Johnson looked nothing like Ana in her new hair color, she still decided to keep her signature wispy bangs.

Multiple reports suggest that fans of E.L. James' erotic novel were worried that Johnson will be sticking to his blonde hair color in the sequel. They pointed out that being a brunette is a pivotal to the story. In the book, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) only wanted to whip brunettes for it reminded him of his birth mother.  

Meanwhile, speaking to People, Dornan hinted that "Fifty Shades Darker" is going to be raunchier than "Fifty Shades of Grey." Rumors of the actor going full frontal have plagued the internet ever since the sequel has been announced.  It was said that he has been offered more than $1.5 million to go totally naked.

Although Dornan refused to confirm or deny these rumors, the actor said that he is very excited to go back to filming.

"I'm looking forward to embodying Christian again - and getting a chance to show more of him," he said.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is set to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
