The Nokia Lumia 930 has gotten a lot of praise from Windows users but the handset is not without its own issues. The Lumia Icon (called Lumia 930 outside the U.S.) has been released worldwide and early users report drain and battery heat issues with the phone. Others report that the handset sometimes does not respond, does not start, appears to be stuck and experience software update or other software related problems. To start the reset and recovery, the user must have a Microsoft Windows 7 (or newer), USB cable to connect the phone to the PC and at least 4GB of free storage space. It is advisable that the phone is completely charged as well.

Step 1: Download and install Nokia Software Recover Tool to the PC. It is important to back up the phone's data before installation starts. The Nokia Software Recovery Tool will erase all content on the phone. The phone cannot be used during installation as well and the recovery time depends on the Internet speed.

Step 2: Start Nokia Software Recovery Tool. Connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable. A prompt will appear and Nokia Suite or Modem should be selected.

Step 3: Follow the tool instruction shown. After installing it, the phone will be restored to its factory settings and will have the newest software version.

Battery heat affects some Lumia 930 users as well. They noticed that the battery heats up when they surf the Web, similar to other Lumia handsets they have owned in the past. There is also the large battery drain issue a lot of users experience, although the Lumia 930 is said to have released an update that solves this problem.
