While the Nokia Lumia 520 impressed many users, it is finally time for an update and it appears that the latest Lumia 530 has more features for less the price.
Both the Lumia 520 and 530 come with the 4.0-inch display. However, the Lumia 520 comes with 480 x 800 pixels resolution display while the Lumia 530 has 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The Lumia 520 has a pixel density of 233 ppi while the Lumia 530 has 245 ppi. Based on these specs, the upcoming handset does not change much from the old one.

The Lumia 520 has an angular and colorful, softened plastic rear that is removable and edgier than the Lumia 530 which has a single smooth curve for its back. The Lumia 530 looks chunkier than the 520 with it being 11.7mm thick while the latter is only 9.9mm thick.
The Lumia 520 was launched with Windows Phone 8 out of the box, upgradeable to Windows Phone 8.1. The Lumia 530 runs Window Phone 8.1 and has a more powerful engine that may be required for future Windows Phone upgrades like the Windows Phone 9.
Both Nokia Lumia 520 and 530 are equipped with WiFi hotspot, WiFi 802.11, microUSB support and Bluetooth v4.0. Both handsets come with micro-SIM support but the next-gen Nokia Lumia 530 may also be a dual-SIM variant.
The Lumia 520 is available in red, black, yellow, blue/cyan and while and the Lumia 530 is expected to have the same color palette. The Lumia 530 camera comes exactly the same as the 5 megaixel camera of the Lumia 520 and still with no flash. While there is no front camera, the GlamMe app allows the user to snap a shot using the rear camera with his or her voice.
The Nokia Lumia 520 costs US$130 while the Lumia 530 may cost US$113 before taxes and subsidies. The Lumia 530 could be released this August.
