Golden States' winning streak matches Miami Heat's 27 consecutive wins in the 2012-13 season. Warriors now sits on a NBA record 23 wins with no lost start to the season, and it is the ballclub's 27th successive regular season win, dating back to last season.

They recently outlasted Paul George-led Indiana Pacers. The Warriors tied the second-longest regular season winning streak in NBA history, and became the first team ever to start 13-0 on the road.

However, the 131-123 victory against Indiana may have come with a cost, as the other half of the "Splash Brothers" suffered a right ankle injury and was not able to finish the game against the Pacers.

According to Fox Sports, the injury isn't serious, but the Warriors could still hold Thompson out with the team playing consecutive nights. Golden State concludes a seven-game trip Saturday in Milwaukee.

Harrison Barnes was also put in the team's injured list due to an ankle injury and he is expected to be out for at least another week.  Brazilian backup guard Leandro Barbosa also is questionable with an illness, making the team partially handicapped.

And for the other side of the coin, Boston Celtics may not have the throng of superstars, but the team cannot be under estimated. They are at 13-9 and keeping pace within the Eastern Conference playoff race, one game behind for the Atlantic Division lead with Toronto.

According to the NBA's official website, Celtics ranks third-best defensive team, allowing only 97.0 points per 100 possessions. They are the league's fourth in team plus-minus, winning games by an average of 5.4 points per game. Boston play at the fifth-fastest pace in the NBA.
