Oklahama City Thunders'superstar Kevin Durant and Toronto Raptors' hotshot DeMar DeRozan have been selected as the Players of the Week by the NBA for the Western Conference and Eastern Conference, respectively, for games played between Dec. 7 and Dec.13.

Both ace players are currently performing impressively, leading their respective teams to victories in all four of their game assignments during the week.

According to the league's official website, Durant averages 27.3 points (third in the league), 8.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists (ninth in conference), and 1.8 steals, shooting 59.7 percent from the field (fourth in the conference). His point production is 30 or more in two games and connected 26-of-27 (96.3 percent) from the free throw line.

The Thunders' forward recorded his first triple-double of the season against the Atlanta Hawks when he scored 25 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished 10 assists on Dec. 10. The following night, he scored 21 points with 8 rebounds, in a 94-90 road win over Utah.

DeRozan led the Raptors' four-game winning streak week, averaging 24.0 points (third in the conference), 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals. He shot 51.7 percent from the floor and 91.9 percent from the foul line.

The Raptors hotshot matched his career record, producing 25-or-more points in three successive games, and spear-headed Toronto with a game-high 28 points against the scorching San Antonio on Dec. 9.

According to the Score, it is the second Player of the Week award for Durant this season, while it is DeRozan's first award of his NBA career (though he obtained Player of the Month honors for the shortened April slate last season).

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Player of the Week award were Isaiah Thomas of Boston Celtics, Pau Gasol of Chicago Bulls, LeBron James of Cleveland Cavalier, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin of LA Clippers, Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City Thunders, Jahlil Okafor of Philadelphia 76ers and Eric Bledsoe of Phoenix Suns.
