Golden States Warriors Still the NBA’s Top Team After First Season Loss

The Golden States Warriors' winning streak may have been snapped, but the season has only just begun for the hot defending NBA champions. With a 24-1 win-loss record, they still stand as the league's over-all No.1 team.
The Eastern Conference's lowly Milwaukee Bucks (10-15) handed the mighty Warriors their very first loss of the season and ended the ballclub's winning streak by a surprising 108-95 win on Saturday night. According to a Fox Sports report, the Bucks spoiled the moment for the Golden States Warriors to set a new record of becoming the first team ever in NBA history to have a perfect road trip of at least seven games as well.

On perspective, the first loss of the season could be a blessing in disguise for the Warriors. Instead of trying to break winning streak records, they will be able to make the necessary game adjustments, and for their key players, the rest that they likely needed in order to avoid any unwanted injuries.
Warriors should also consider other teams in the league that are doing pretty well. According to a CBS Sports report, the San Antonio Spurs are just four games back of the Warriors, sitting on a record of the second best over-all with 21 wins and 5 losses. It is still very realistic that the Spurs can be the No.1 seed.
They should as well look at the impressive performance of the Oklahoma City Thunder (16-8), who recently won four straight games in a row. Kevin Durant is playing brilliant games averaging 26.6 points along with 8.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 56 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range.
And of course, we can never count the last season's Eastern Conference champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers (15-7) out. The Cavs won two straight games and Kyrie Irving is about to return from injury and boost more scoring together with LeBron James.
