Following the success of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' fans had been eagerly waiting for the next release in the series by Marvel Comics. Many fans speculate the story will be different this time, or there will be a plot twist they will never see coming. From the trailers, it is clear there will be new heroes and new villains.
Apocalypse was first shown in the end credit of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' a brief scene where he built the pyramid of Egypt with just by lifting his hands. Marvel Comics reveals him by his given name En Sabah Nur which translates as "The First One." He is known to be the first and the most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-men universe and wakes up a thousand years later to find the world distasteful, different -just not what he prefers.
Apocalypse has hoarded the powers from other powerful mutants, making him invincible and immortal. He began to recruit powerful mutants, including the disheartened Magneto, played by Michael Fassbender. Apocalypse then plans to change the world, to banish humanity and create a new world order, over which he can rule and reign the way he likes.
Raven, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence, cannot afford to look at the fate of the world, of humanity hang on the edge. She must lead a group of mutants along with the help of Professor X, portrayed by James McAvoy, to save mankind and defeat their greatest enemy yet.
Fans are hysterical as they are left to swim in X-Men ideas and speculate what happens until 'X-Men: Apocalypse' comes to cinemas on May 27, 2016.
