Rumors are out that the Milwaukee Bucks have placed center Miles Plumlee on the trading block and the Miami Heat is reportedly one of the possible destinations for the 27-year-old big man.

ESPN's Marc Stein said in a recent tweet that Plumlee, the elder brother of Brooklyn Nets center Mason, was placed by the Bucks on the trading block this midseason.

Bleacher Report noted that "the addition of Greg Monroe in Milwaukee has squeezed Plumlee out" of head coach Jason Kidd's rotation as he is just seeing action for 8.2 minutes a night in 17 games this season.

However, Kidd had just started Plumlee during the team's 103-90 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night, with the 2012 first-round pick playing a total of 22 minutes in the game.

There are still no clear interested takers for the former Duke Blue Devil, but it is expected that he will draw the attention of many teams in need of more frontcourt youth and depth.

One of several teams rumored to be eyeing the Fort Wayne, Indiana native is the Miami Heat as the Florida team seeks to sign a quality backup for its resident center Hassan Whiteside, as per Fansided.

The report said that Whiteside "isn't exactly a gamechanger on a night-to-night basis" and "the big guys backing up Whiteside don't inspire a lot of confidence either", and so the need to add a consistent young big man is a need for the Heat.

Plumlee is said to be "a solid foundation to a team still brimming with talented shooters" as Chris Bosh is not a big man who prefers to operate inside the lane most of the time.

The 6-foot-11 2010 NCAA champion is also rumored to be courted by the Toronto Raptors as the Canadian squad can use him to alleviate the team's current battles with frontcourt injuries.
