A 13-year-old is now facing charges after he allegedly joined two other adult men in robbing a Mac's convenience store and gunning down two store employees in Edmonton, Canada, the police said.
The names of the boy and his two other companies - males aged 26 and 24 - have not been released to the public but the Edmonton Police said they know the suspects.

The suspects gunned down two Mac's convenience store employees during an early morning robbery, even as the victims showed no resistance and posed no threats to the robbers.
The victims were identified as Karanpal Singh Bhangu, 35, and a 41-year-old man. Bhangu died in the hospital due to a gunshot wound to the stomach while the second victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two victims worked at different convenient stores - at 32 Avenue and 82 Street - according to the police.
The police said they were investigating the first incident when another call came in, informing them that a man was found dead in another convenience store. The second victim was found injured and bleeding when police arrived. His name was withheld, as his family has not been notified.
"This was a barbaric and gratuitous act of violence upon two innocent persons resulting in a senseless loss of life," said Edmonton Police Chief Rod Knecht, calling it "gratuitous, evil."
The police chief added that the three suspects were wearing masks when they entered the two stores minutes apart. The victims were believed to be working alone when they were robbed and then shot dead.
Whether the 13-year-old boy pulled the trigger in the convenience store killings was not yet clear although the police said witnesses have already issued their statements pinning the three men, including the juvenile.
The police launched a pursuit operation when a patrol officer spotted the suspects' stolen getaway vehicle.
The three suspects were arrested when their getaway vehicle crashed under the Terwillegar Drive overpass. The three were still wearing masks when police arrested them.
According to authorities, the three suspects have records and have been prohibited from possessing guns.
