EXO Chinese idol Lay recently made an appearance with f(x) idol Krystal as a couple in Beijing. It was for their forthcoming Chinese movie "Kite Flying," in which these two idols are playing leading roles.
"Kite Flying" is set to begin production early next year. Lay and Krystal attended the movie's press conference, and they did not shy away from hooking their arms. Also, Lay put his arm over Krystal's shoulders, nonchalantly.

It was announced in October that EXO's Lay and f(x)'s Krystal have signed on to play prominent roles in "Kite Flying" directed by South Korean director Seong Si Heup. Both idols are part of the same management agency, SM Management. A representative said at the time that they have expectations from both idols as they are very popular both in South Korea and China.
With "Kite Flying," Krystal will be making her film debut, while Lay made his film debut with Chinese film "Oh My God."
According to reports, 40 percent of "Kite Flying" will be shot in Busan, South Korea and rest of the portions are expected to be shot in Beijing. The film is scheduled to release later in 2016.
Lay is now the only Chinese member active with South Korean-Chinese idol group EXO, which originally started with four Chinese members. Three Chinese members, Tao, Kris and Luhan, have left the group.
In October, rumors started swirling that Lay, too, plans to leave EXO, as he decided to skip the group's Japan tour due to personal engagements in China. However, the unfounded rumors soon lost steam, and Lay continues to be very much part of EXO.
