In an announcement during a joint media briefing with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem, Wang added that China, being a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Syria to the best of its abilities.
China and Syria had been holding in-depth talks on promoting a political solution to the civil war in Syria. Both countries have also expressed support for fighting terrorism.
Meanwhlie, Al-Moallem, who is in China until Saturday, told journalists that the government of Syria is ready and willing to participate in peace talks in Geneva that is aimed at ending the civil war in the country.
Al-Moallem, however, stressed that the Syrian government wants a Syria-Syria dialogue that has not foreign interference.
It was first time that the Syrian government has publicly announced its willingness to participate in a new round of peace talks since October.
Al-Moallem's statement also followed the UN Security Council's unanimous support to a resolution that called for a ceasefire and peace talks between the Syrian government and opposition. The dialogue is proposed to take place in January.
The Syrian foreign minister expressed hope that the peace dialogue will be successful in achieving a national unity government in Syria.
He also revealed that Damascus will form a constitutional committee that will create a new constitution with a new election law, paving the way for the parliamentary election within about 18 months.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang, meanwhile, urged for a balanced and inclusive Syria dialogue that will provide all opposition groups the opportunity to participate. He, however, stressed that the dialogue should only involved groups that do not engage in extreme, terrorist activities.
