"I played 59 games and scored 26 goals," he said in an article of The Telegraph. "That is the best season of my career. Now I feel that my body and my mental strength are both good. My confidence is back."
Pato's good performance has led to his name again being discussed around some of the biggest clubs in Europe and Asia. There is believed to interest Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester, among others. But he has yet to receive a concrete offer from a Premier League side.
He played for the Internacional squad that won the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan where he became the youngest-ever player to score in a FIFA-organized competition and broke the record of the legendary Pele.
The 26-year-old remains keen to leave Brazil, and the player has reportedly received an offer from Chinese outfit Tianjin Quanjian for a move to Asia in the new year.
Tianjin Quanjian FC is a China League One division professional football club under license from the Chinese Football Association (CFA).
The team is based in Tianjin and currently being managed by Brazilian coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo. The Chinese football club had given the Brazilian until the end of next week to make a reply.
According to an article of the Inside Futbol, Pato wants to try his luck again in Europe, but with a lack of serious offers, it remains to be seen whether or not he is open to the idea of moving to China to continue his football career.
