"Legend of Miyue" star Sun Li has described herself as "a little monkey," implying that she is a mischievous person.

"Legend of Miyue" is considered one of the hottest TV series of the year 2015 in China. Li starred in the popular costume drama, which went on air last month. It depicts the ups and downs of the life of Mi Yue. The show is about her being a concubine at first, and then how she became the first empress dowager in the Chinese history. She is considered one of the most powerful women of her time.

The plot shows the journey of her entire life. Different actors play her at different ages. Even though there are a lot of big names attached to this show, including director Zheng Xiaolong, Li is still considered to be the best in the eyes of the audience for her performance in the show.

To this, she said that she thinks she is like a little monkey, as she is outgoing and active.  According to Li's mother, she initially entered the entertainment business when she was just three years old. She started with taking part in fashion shows, and also won many top prizes in children's modeling competitions.

Director Zheng said Li was chosen to play the role of Mi Yue almost instantly after her first audition. According to him, that is a pretty rare thing to happen.

Surprising to many, Li is not a professionally trained actor. In spite of that, she always seems natural and relaxed while facing the camera. The nine-year-old actress has appeared in a lot of commercials and TV series. She was seen in "Generation of Dignity" and "The Empress of China." She already has such an impressive resume, according to her mother.
