Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 7C is expected to be released in April 2016.

A mobile carrier partner in China recently leaked this information. The leaked calendar from Apple refers to this phone as the iPhone 7C instead of the iPhone 6C.

The iPhone 7C will be 4-inches in size, and is expected to cost less than $500. This may make it one of the most affordable iPhones. The device is expected to be similar to the iPhone 5C, with a little curved edge similar to the iPhone 6 models.

The XC models of iPhone are known to sport smaller screens and come at affordable prices. However, after the iPhone 5C was released back in 2013, no other XC series phone has been launched.

Just like the iPhone 5C, the iPhone 7C will be similar to its parent model line ups, which are the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6S Plus. Rumors indicate that the iPhone 7C will be armed with a 4-inch screen and a full metal case - like the current iPhone models.

Additionally, the iPhone 7C is also rumored to feature an NFC add-on, which will help the customers to do payments through the in-built Apple Pay. The iPhone 7C is also rumored to be equipped with the Touch ID, which is Apple's patent finger print recognition feature. Touch ID is slowly becoming a key feature in all the new Apple devices. It also one of the most sought after feature in current time.

The device may hit the stands in March or April next year, but Apple is yet to comment on the status of the device.
