Android Marshmallow to be Rolled out for Moto G 3rd Gen Soon

(Photo : Reuters) The Android Marshmallow update is coming soon for Motorola 3rd Gen devices such as Moto G.
Motorola Moto G 3rd Generation users can rejoice as they will soon get the latest Android Marshmallow update.
Motorola announced this recently on their Twitter handle. The exact date of the roll out is yet to be revealed. The third generation phone of the Moto G series is currently running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The 2 GB update will add features like the new Doze Mode, which is designed to extend the battery life. The Google Now on Tap will also be added along with simpler volume controls. The options of "Assist" and "Migrate" apps will also be added to the user interface.
The phone will notify users about the update as and when their device is eligible to receive it. Users can also check it manually by visiting: Settings > About Phone > System Update.
The Moto G 3rd Generation is equipped with a 5-inch HD display protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protection. It is also equipped with proprietary Motorola features like the Moto Display, the Quick Capture and also the Chop Twice.
The phone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC along with a 1.4 GHz quad core processor. This is paired with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage capacity. There is also a 2 GB RAM/ 16 GB internal memory storage variant of this device.
It also comes with a 13 mega pixel main camera along with a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. The device is equipped with a dual SIM configuration and also supports the 4G LTE data connectivity in both SIM cards. It is powered with a 2,470 mAh capacity battery.
