Former Miss Hong Kong Grace Chan's father disapproves of the idea of marrying her boyfriend actor Kevin Cheng soon, saying that she would be "at the losing end" if she does.

Recently, there have been rumors that Chan and Cheng are planning to tie the knot despite only dating for a few months after the two were spotted "browsing" at a bridal shop owned by Vivian Luk.

The rumor was further fueled after Cheng stated that he is not feeling any younger, and hopes to marry the beauty queen turned actress soon. Hong Kong media are speculating that the actor has already proposed to the actress.

However, there are also rumors that Chan's parents have refused to accept Cheng's proposal.

According to Apple Daily, Chan's father does not approve of the idea of his daughter getting married to Cheng too quickly. Apparently, Chan's parents want her to focus on her career as an actress first before jumping into such a commitment.

Chan's father is alleged to have jokingly stated that the actress would be on the losing end of the relationship if she is to get married soon, sources cited.

In addition, when Chan's mother was asked about the idea of her daughter going on a shotgun marriage, she allegedly replied, "Please do not scare me." When asked if she has accepted Cheng as a potential son-in-law, the mother reportedy had nothing to say.

Cheng has not gotten the chance to meet his girlfriend's parents, according to AsianPop News. Her parents supposedly do not want to meet the actor just yet as they think it's not the right time.

Chan is allegedly under a lot of stress as she is still figuring out whether she made the right choice regarding Cheng.
