Famous actor Jackie Chan's only son, Jaycee Chan, who was recently arrested on charges that involved possession and consumption of marijuana, has admitted to consuming the drug for the past eight years, according to a report by CCTV.
China's recent implementation of one of the largest anti-drug crackdowns in the past 20 years led to the arrest of 31-year-old Jaycee Chan on Thursday where a reportedly 100+ grams of marijuana were found in his Beijing, China home.

According to reports, at least 9 other celebrities and as many as 3,400 people have been arrested in recent months.
Jaycee admitted that he initially began to consume marijuana after a visit to the Netherlands eight years ago, and said it's a very difficult task to get rid of his habit.
Jackie Chan broke the silence on the matter involving his son Wednesday, apologizing to the public while pointing out how ashamed and sad he is over the incident. He noted that Jaycee would have to face the consequences of his actions.
"As a public figure, I'm very ashamed. As a father, I'm heartbroken," the famous actor and mixed martial artist, Jackie Chan, wrote on Sina Weibo.
However, some of Jackie's shame may be due to his very public role as an anti-drug ambassador in China - a part he has held since 2009.
As an anti-drug ambassador, the kung fu artist has actively shown care and support towards the anti-drug cause by promoting anti-drug campaigns and educational programs aimed at raising awareness about drugs amongst the public, and especially amongst young people.
Jaycee's arrest is undoubtedly bad for both the father's and son's images, however Jackie has voiced his thoughts stating that he hopes young people will learn a lesson from the situation and choose to stay away from drugs.
