Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Inc. is expanding into the Middle East region, beginning in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market, and later this month in Saudi Arabia.
Task FZCO, a Dubai-based private company and an authorized distribution partner for Xiaomi in the region, has joined forces with local telecommunications company Etisalat (Emirates Telecommunications Corporation) to make the Chinese mobile brand available in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Other countries in the Middle East region will also see Xiaomi entering the market sometime this year.
