After an extensive standoff with authorities, hostage-takers in the south suburban town of Harvey, Illinois were finally been captured on Wednesday, freeing four remaining hostages.
The robbery turned hostage taking scene lasted almost all day as reports indicated six people, including children as young as one-years-old, were taken hostage inside the suburban home in Illinois.

Two women and two children were the last hostages to be released after authorities decided to take initiative and enter the house midmorning on Wednesday where a pair of culprits was taken into custody.
"It became clear we needed to enter the house," Sheriff Tom Dart stated, explaining that they were becoming increasingly worried at the very little progress being made, despite constant communication with the suspects during negotiations.
On that day, more than 20 heavily armed SWAT officers were deployed to storm the crime scene.
The robbers-slash-hostage-takers did not surrender, though police say they did not fire a single gunshot during the standoff.
After being released from captivity, the hostages were immediately given medical care at a nearby hospital, though no one was visibly hurt.
However, Dart told the Associated Press that some of the victims were 'hysterical' after being freed and were unable to communicate properly.
One of the adult female hostages was a nurse for a two-year-old girl, also taken hostage, who was reportedly suffering from a 'health issue.'
Four other children, boys between ages 1 to 11 years of age, had been freed on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, two cops suffered minor injuries after the shootout on Tuesday, though no fatalities have been recorded.
The suspects, who originally planned on robbing the house, took residents hostage after police officers responded to reports of robbery in the area.
Neighbors and other people who were nearby during the 20-hour standoff were escorted and evacuated to safety on Tuesday.
