Football Transfer News: Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin Delays Chinese Decision, Hopes for a European Club

Inter Milan's international Colombian midfielder is reportedly taking time to decide whether to accept an offer from Asian big spender Jiangsu Suning Football Club in hopes that a big European club would also show interest in signing him.

According to Gazzeta World, the Chinese club has made a $17 million bid for the versatile player along with a four-year contract that will see him earn an annual salary of $7 million.

Reports have surfaced that the Columbian football player had asked for ovwr $7 million and the Chinese outfit is reportedly very willing to pay in hopes of convincing the player to accept the transfer. With the generous offer, Inter Milan man is said to be seriously pondering the proposal.

But it seems that the Colombian star is having reservations about moving to China as there may be some more other offers coming in.

FcInterNews has learned that Guarin has put the Chinese idea on hold while waiting for more attractive offers and will consider a move to China only if no other concrete clubs in Europe show an interest in him.

Guarin started his career with the Columbian professional football club Envigado. He had a short spell in Argentina and played with Saint-Etienne in France for two years.

He gained fame with FC Porto in Portugal, where he won ten major titles in the four seasons during his stint with the club, including three national championships and the 2011 Europa League.

Guarin was part of the Colombian national team that competed the 2011 Copa America and the 2014 World Cup.
