CBA Round 28: League Leader Sichuan BW Stretches Winning Streak, Liaoning Beats Beijing

League leader Sichuan Blue Whales extended their winning streak to ten by beating the lowly Tianjin Ronggang Gold Lions 113-104 in the 28th round of the Chinese Basketball Association on Friday.
American point guard Justin Dentmon scored 41 points while former NBA player and Iranian superstar Hamed Haddadi chipped in 17 points, 13 rebound, 6 assists and 5 steals for the Sichuan.

Sichuan made 19-of-24 free throws for a 79.2 percent shooting accuracy, including nine free shots from the foul line by Dentmont, who helped to win the game for the Blue Whales.
Former NBA journeyman Jordan Crawford scored an awe-inspiring 72 points for the Tianjin Ronggang Gold Lions However, the spectacular scoring performance of the shooting guard was not enough to steer Tianjin to a win over the league powerhouse Sichuan Blue Whales
Crawford, who played four years in the NBA, shot 25-for-52 from the field, connecting four treys in his 12 attempts from beyond the arc area. He made 18 shots out of 20 attempts from the foul line and posted 16 rebounds.
With the win, the Blue Whales maintained their hold on the top of the team standings together with the Xinjiang Flying Tigers with 23 wins and 5 loses, while Tianjin remains on the 19th place with 5 wins and 23 loses.
In the other matches of the 28th round of the league, the defending champions Beijing Ducks suffered a 108-96 loss to their old rivals Liaoning Flying Leopards. Liaoning controlled the game and had the lead all the time. They were able to stretch the gap by 30 big points in the third quarter of the match.
Xinjiang Flying Tigers defeated Qingdao Eagles 109-100 and maintained their hold on the top. Shenzhen yielded to Guangsha 104-90, Guangdong crushed Beikong 129-111, Shanghai demolished Fujian 99-85, Shandong whipped Tongxi 98-82 and Foshan Long-Lions bowed to Jiangsu Dragons 116-109 and Shanxi tamed Bayi 95-67.
