Singer A-mei recently had a sold-out 'Utopia' concert at the Hong Kong coliseum, which fans have described as nothing short of fantastic.
At the beginning of the concert, the 43-year old superstar, whose real name is Chang Hiu- Mei, appeared on stage sitting on a crystal throne while singing her hit song 'Freak Show' - surrounded by her good-looking and talented dancers.

The singer took the stage in the second half of her sold out concert decked in an all black outfit, wearing a crown that resembled horns, as she revealed her alter ego, Amit, a self-described queen of Rock. She hyped up the crowd with 'Straightforward' and 'Black Eats Black' and ended the concert by performing her classics, 'Jump In', 'R U Watching' and 'Fire.' She also serenaded a lucky fan who was celebrating her birthday.
A-mei, who was born in Taiwan, started her career in 1996. Her first album stayed at the number one spot on the IFPI Music Chart for more than nine weeks and sold more than 1.8 million copies worldwide, making her achieve rapid commercial success. In 1998, she received the 'Best Asian Artist' award from Billboard and in 2002 she found herself on the cover of TIMES.
The songstress is the only Chinese entertainer to have received the World Peace Music Award.
Her long and successful career is not without controversy. In 2000, she was banned in mainland China after performing the National Anthem of The Republic of China during the first Presidential inauguration of Chen Sui-Bian. This move angered the People's Republic of China who later banned her from entering the country. The People's Republic of China raised the ban and allowed the singer to enter the country again in 2007.
The next stop of the 'Utopia' tour is London, England, where A-mei will be performing at the SSE Arena in Wembley on March 6, 2016.
