Newcastle's Ivory Coast midfielder Cheick Tiote's switch to China is still alive and has become more intriguing as some more big Chinese outfits have lined up for his service.
The Magpies midfielder's transfer talks to China had been stalled after Tiote rejected an $11 million move to Shanghai Shenhua on Friday. However the Ivory Coast international is now considering three other proposals from different clubs in the Chinese Super League.

The 29-year-old Ivorian midfielder has made 11 Premier League appearances this season and his contract will be expiring within a year's time.
Newcastle has already bought two midfielders for a combined amount of $24 million in the persons of English Jonjo Shelvey from the Swansea City and Senegalese Henri Saivet from Bordeaux in this transfer window.
Shanghai Shehua's rival Beijing Guoan is said to have offered Tiote a contract having a value of around $100,000 per week after tax.
Beijing Guoan has won several domestic league and cup titles. The side finished fourth in the league's last season and wants to do better. The Imperial Guards, the club's nickname, is based in the Chaoyang District of Beijing.
The Workers Stadium, which has a seating capacity of over 66,000, is the Chinese outfit's home ground. Recently, the club presented the team's new head coach, veteran Italian manager Alberto Zaccheroni. Beijing Guoan also introduced the team's newest acquisition of international footballers - the best player of Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A Renato Augusto, Brazilian champions Corinthians defensive midfielders Ralf Teles and Kleber Pinheiro and Beijing Guoan returnee Egor Krimets from Uzbekistan.
With just over a week left in the transfer window, Chinese clubs are still very involved in enticing high valued international players in the Premier League to make a shift in China. Yaya Toure of Manchester City, Joleon Lescott of Aston Villa and John Obi Mikel of Chelsea are among those being targerted.
