AC Milan Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano has denied that he changed his salary demands from the wealthy Chinese club Jiangsu Suning, resulting in the collapse of the transfer negotiations at the last minute.
The 28-year-old footballer recently traveled to China to secure his visa and to undergo the necessary medical test before finalizing his deal with the club. All indications were pointing to the $15 million transfer being completed. The Brazilian professional footballer even donned the Jiangsu Suning scarf in front of the media.

However, according to the report of ESPN FC, Adriano, who was due to return to training on Thursday, said the figures on the paperwork did not add up.
"It's not true what people are saying," Luiz Adriano told Calciomercato.it "I didn't ask for more money as soon as I had arrived in China. The truth is I was not given any guarantee at all over my salary.
"They did not want to put the right figures on the contract and that is not the way I work, and that is why I have not joined Jiangsu Suning."
Jiangsu Suning has been very busy in the transfer market and seems to be prepared to spend lots of money. The club is always making headlines with irresistibly offers for high profile players.
The cash-rich Chinese outfit is often linked with high profile international players from different leagues. Jiangsu Suning FC is the same club that had an offer for Sampdoria forward Eder, but he turned it down.
The Chinese side is also being associated with the Paraguayan forward Oscar Cardozo, who currently plays for the Trabzonspor, a Turkish Super Lig club. Jiangsu Suning is also being linked with the Australian Trent Sainsbury of the Dutch club PEC Zwolle.
Suning is reportedly very keen to also get the services of the Roma's Ivorian striker Gervinho and Inter Milan Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin with whooping offers.
