TVB star Grace Chan, who recently revealed her preference for jewelry with simple designs, gave a hint that she received a ring from her boyfriend Kevin Cheng.

"It's great to be surprised, but if we pick it out together, then I'll definitely like the design," said Chan through a public interview.

The actress dropped a hint that even if Cheng bought her a ring, that doesn't mean they are already engaged since a ring can signify a lot of things, according to Jaynestars.

Chan added that she doesn't need to be engaged in order to receive a ring. When asked if the ring was meant for an anniversary, Chan clarified that their relationship is not that long yet.

Chan, a Canada-born actress, was catapulted into fame when she won the Miss Hong Kong 2013 pageant and Miss Chinese International 2014.  Chan became the third person to hold both prestigious titles.

This became Chan's stepping stone to the entertainment industry as she eventually starred in TVB dramas such as 'Raising the Bar' and 'Captain of Destiny'.

Chan started dating actor Kevin Cheng, who is 20 years her senior, when they co-starred together in the drama, 'Blue Veins'. Their relationship has gained a lot of media attention due to the fact that both coyly express their romance in public.

The couple will spend the upcoming Lunar Year together with Cheng's family.

Chan revealed her Valentine's Day plans and explained that she hasn't bought a present for Cheng and there was a possibility that an early celebration might take place since Cheng may be out of town at that time.
