iPhone 6 Release Date: September or October 2014, iWatch Launch Delayed to 2015

The iPhone 6 is a widely anticipated smartphone for 2014 and rumors have circulated about its release date, price, specs and features since the iPhone 5S was released. Leaked photos of front and back cases claim to show the final iPhone 6 design which looks like the first iPhone.

Luxury phone brand Feld & Volk posted unverified photos of the iPhone 6's alleged body on Instagram through front and back parts assembled together from pre-production. It said that the smaller iPhone 6 model will have 1704 x 960 pixel display but as time passes, it appears that this is for the larger 5.5-inch phablet. 9to5 Mac looked for developer files and found references to resolutions. It compared the specs to the 4-inch iPhone screens of 5S and 5C which have 1136 x 640 pixel displays.

re/code has just released  a launch date on Sept. 9, saying Apple is scheduled for a huge media event on that day. The website founded by former Wall Street journalists Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg said that the focal point of the event is Apple's next-gen iPhones, similar to past September events.

However, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kup said that the phablet could be released in 2015 or at best, in the fourth quarter of 2014. According to Apple Insider, the delay is caused by technical problems with the phablet's in-cell touch panel and color unevenness on the iPhone 6 metal casing. The same problems are plaguing the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 variant but Kuo still said that it will be launched ahead of the larger one.
