Chinese tech giant company Xiaomi has announced that its Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone has received an update of its operating system. The device is the first smartphone in the company to feature Windows 10 operating system.

Last year, Xiaomi and Microsoft announced their partnership at WinHEC 2015 event. As of today, Xiaomi's Windows 10 operated devices are already available in the market.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone features a 5-inch IPS display screen and powered by Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The device comes with a built in 16GB and 64GB internal memory.  It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front shooter and is powered led by a 3080mAh capacity battery.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 smartphone is well known for its high-end specifications, build quality and the company's very own MI user interface. In addition, Xioami's smartphones are usually low price.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi announced that only the 4G LTE supported smartphones can alone make it to Windows 10 OS update, which means it is limited only to the Chinese market as of now.

The Windows 10 powered Mi4 smartphone has started receiving new firmware update, which according to the company contains major bug fixes along with some system enhancements. The major fixes includes such as battery optimization backup, alarm clock problem, screen freezing issues, Outlook mail sync problem, and charging issues. Moreover, the company also recently rolled out an update for its camera settings, which now supports close range pictures.

In addition, the company also enhanced the stability of quick operation settings page and added a "Vibration switch button". To use this new feature, users can access it by going on to "Settings", then "Extras", and "Vibration settings."

On the other hand, Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 6.0.1 update instead of Android 6.0 update for Mi4 smartphones, which is 100MB in size with a build number of MMB29M.
