The massive 4,100 mAh battery of this smartphone can last many hours of continuous usage. Although the phone comes with a powerful battery, the Chinese company has announced that the Redmi 3 won't be too thick due to the high energy density technology used in making the battery.
Xiaomi also confirmed that the Smartphone will feature a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display. The resolution was not mentioned by the company, but rumors indicate that the handset screen supports HD (720p) resolution. The phone comes with a metallic design and a metallic body casing, with a more stylish plaid design on the back side. This specification was confirmed via a teaser that has been published on Weibo.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and a built-in 16GB of internal storage. It was suggested that this Smartphone will include a microSD card slot to expand its memory, but that information has not been confirmed yet. The device was rumored to pack a 13-megapixel camera on its rear shooter with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities. While the front camera will feature a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 Smartphone will be available in the market starting Jan. 12.
