Gionee Elife S8 Smartphone Set to Launch at MWC Next Month

(Photo : YouTube) Gionee is set to launch the Gionee Elife S8 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2016 event later this month.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has announced that it will be introducing its latest flagship smartphone - the Gionee Elife S8 - at the Mobile World Congress 2016 event next month (Feb 22 - Feb 25) at Bacelona.
Gionee is reknowned for its cheap prices and good quality devices. To continue its domination in the business, the company is on its way to Barcelona to unveil its latest smartphone Elife S8.

Gionee Elife S8 smartphone is powered by Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset with PowerVR G6200 graphics processor. The device features a 6-inch (~73.5% screen-to-body ratio) AMOLED display capacitive touch screen with 1440x2560 pixels (~490 ppi pixel density and 16 million colors). The handset runs on Android v5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. The screen of the device supports multi-touch and it comes with the Amigo 3.1 user interface.
The smartphone comes with 3GB of RAM and a built-in 64GB internal memory storage that is expandable up 128GB via microSD card. In terms of its battery, the device is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 3500 mAh capacity battery, which has a stand-by time of up to 437 hours for 2G, up to 500 hours for 3G as well as a talk time of up 39 hours for 2G and 20 hours for 3G.
the handset sports a 24-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0, OIS, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash capabilities, while the front shooter comes with a 24-megapixel autofocus camera. Interestingly, the camera supports 2160p@30fps video recording, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, and HDR capabilities.
Elife S8 smartphone is slim and handy as it measures 164 x 82.3 x 9.6 mm (6.46 x 3.24 x 0.38 in) and weights 210 g (7.41 oz). The device also supports GSM/HSPA/LTE network connectivity, Dual SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by), microUSB v2.0, USB Host, Fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and hi-fi audio speaker.
