Huawei to Launch Honor 5X Smartphone in Europe on February 4

Chinese tech giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is planning to launch its Honor 5X mid-range smartphone in the European market on Feb. 4.
Huawei Honor 5X, which was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas last month, recently went on sale in the U.S. market for $199.99 off-contract, via the company's online store as well as on Amazon.com and Newegg.com.

In Europe, would-be owners will have the chance to get about $29 off the Honor 5X handset by simply registering via the vMall website.
In terms of the design, the Huawei Honor 5X features a metallic body with beveled edge, weighing about 158 grams and measuring 151.3 x 76.3 x 8.2 mm in dimensions. It is available in gray, silver and gold colors.
First launched in China back in October 2015 and later in the Indian market, the Honor 5X comes with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution.
The phone is expected to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update upon its release, along with the latest EMUI 4.0 build on top. In terms of the camera, it has a 13 megapixel unit on the back with dual-LED flash and autofocus capability, and a 5 megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
Under the hood, the Honor 5X packs a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB of built-in memory storage and a 3,000 mAh battery.
In addition, the handset sports a fingerprint scanner on the back, and supports dual-SIM functionality, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity and GPS.
