The Toronto Raptors are reportedly eyeing "disgruntled" power forward Markieff Morris of the Phoenix Suns this NBA trade season as head coach Dwane Casey continues to look for a long-term solution to the team's woes at the no. 4 starting spot.
At the moment, Casey's options to start at the power forward position are Luis Scola, Patrick Patterson, and Anthony Bennett, all of whom allegedly have not displayed the kind of game and produced the kind of numbers that the 58-year-old bench tactician has been looking for, as per CBS Sports' James Herbert.

Casey is said to be fond of a "physical player" and someone who is a floor spacer in the four spot, which would allow him to play a more small-ball type of lineups and Morris seems to be the ideal man for the job.
At 26 years old, Morris is still potentially entering his prime. He is a known scorer, although his shooting touch has been dwindling as of late since he publicly asked for a trade from the Suns last summer.
Herbert also said that a major concern for Casey in acquiring Morris is that he may not "fit all that well with what the Raptors are building".
Toronto is said to be trying to provide star players Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan with teammates who likes to move the ball and look for better opportunities for others, but Morris is more of an isolation big man who tends "to hold the ball rather than moving it".
Aside from Morris, the Raptors are also reportedly interested in his Phoenix teammate, P.J. Tucker, who starts alongside him at the no. 3 spot.
Tucker is a known outside shooter and decent defender and the Raptors could make good use of him as the team prepares for the regular season stretch run and most certainly the postseason, especially now that DeMarre Carroll had been struggling with recurring injuries.
If Toronto wants a raid of Phoenix's starters, then they should be prepared to give the Suns a package with a lot of value as Morris and Tucker are key components of the desert team's system, according to Fansided.
The Raptors are currently at the second spot of the Eastern Conference with a 33-16 record, just two-and-a-half games behind conference leaders Cleveland Cavaliers.
