Basketball News: Xinjiang Flying Tigers Smashes Qingdao Eagles in the CBA Round 37

Second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers demolished the 12th ranked Qingdao Eagles with a 35-point gap run-away 139-104 victory in the 37th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league in Urumqi on Wednesday.
The Flying Tigers controlled almost the whole game, with the Xinjiang team shooting 68.5 percent from the field during the ball game. The Flying Tigers outrebounded the Eagles, grabbing a team-combined of 44 rebounds compared to the 24 boards of Qingdao, including a 38-21 advantage in defensive rebounding.

The winning team also displayed good ball movement and a well-organized offense with 29 assists compared to just 11 passes made by the Eagles.
With the win, Xinjiang maintain hold of the second place in the team standings sharing the spot with the Sichuan Blue Whales with both teams having the same record of 29 wins and 8 losses. Xinjiang and Sichuan are one victory behind the league's current leader Liaoning Flying Leopards with 30-7 record.
Former Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets power forward Andray Blatche registered another double-double game performance. The naturalized Filipino Gilas Pilipinas hotshot scored 19 points and 14 rebounds with 9 assists. Fellow foreign reinforcement Bryce Cotton, who replaced the former Los Angeles Lakers guard Andrew Goudelock, contributed 20 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
Chinese forward Li Gen scored a team-high 26 points with 3 rebounds and 2 assists while Korambek Makhan added 22 points with 1 rebound and 3 assists. Wang Lei and Su Wei both finished the game with 14 points apiece for the winning ballclub.
American point guard Jonathan Gibson led all scorers with 48 points with 4 rebound and 4 assists, while Chinese guard Lou Xudong added 18 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists for the team of Qingdao.
The Flying Tigers will be playing against the Tianjin Ronggang Gold Lions, while Tianjin will next face the Shanghai Sharks in the coming round 38 of the CBA league.
