Chinese tech company OnePlus has announced a new promotion for its OnePlus X smartphone. As part of its Valentines' Day offer, every purchase of this phone comes with a free Rosewood case.

Basically, consumers who buy this smartphone are entitled to a free Rosewood case for their phone. This deal is limited only for the Month of February.

Meanwhile, some customers have complained of experiencing problems as they try to avail the promo. Some buyers claim that they are trying to enter the "XOXO" code, but were still being charged for the case.

The complaint was expressed mainly through Twitter. According to some people, the code only discounts the shipping price, and the fine print was not obvious as they thought that the cases was free for everyone and anyone.

Hopefully, this code complaint is just a glitch and OnePlus will fix it soon.

This promo serves to highlight how customers no longer need an 'invite' to purchase the OnePlus X. The company eliminated the invite system last week, and hopefully this will be applied to future OnePlus handsets as OnePlus gets a handle on their logistics and supply chain for newer devices.

Oneplus X smartphone has a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 pixels AMOLED capacitive touch screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with Adreno 330 graphics processor and Android v5.1.1 (Lollipop) operating system. The phone has a built-in 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

It also comes with 13-megapixel rear cam and 8-megapixel front shooter. The device is powered by a non-removable Li-Po 2525 mAh battery. Moreover, the phone also supports 3G and LTE Network connectivity.
