Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has announced that its P5w smartphone is now available in India for the price of Rs. 6,499.

Gionee is now following the path of Huawei and Xiaomi, as these two giants company recently announced that they are targeting the Indian market as their main focus this year. To compete with Huawei and Xiaomi, Gionee is also taking action to catch the attention of Indian smartphone users by bringing its latest technology to the country.

Gionee P5w smartphone features a 5-inch 720 x 1280 pixels IPS HD display screen. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The handset comes with a 16GB built-in storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

In terms of the camera, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED-flash support, while the front camera features 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies. In addition, the handset connectivity option includes dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro-USB 2.0. This device also supports sensor features such as Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and Gyroscope.  Unfortunately, this device does not support OTG, LTE connectivity, ambient light sensor, barometer, compass/magnetometer, and temperature sensor.

The Gionee P5w smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and fueled by a 2,000mAh capacity battery. Moreover, the device is handy as it only measures 143.30 x 72.00 x 8.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 153.00 grams.

Gionee P5w smartphone is now available in the Indian market and comes in five variant colors such as white, blue, red, yellow and black color options.
