Recent rumors have emerged that English Premier League giant Liverpool FC are preparing a £23 million bid for Real Madrid forward Jesé Rodríguez this summer.

The 22-year-old Jesé launched his senior career with Los Blancos' B squad in 2011 coming also from the club's youth program.

From there, he entered the capital city's first team in October 2013, coming in as an 81st minute substitute in a 4-0 Champions League win against FC Copenhagen that season. He then scored his first goal for Real Madrid late that month in an El Clásico loss off an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jesé is a fan-favorite at the Santiago Bernabéu but is not having enough appearances to generate any lasting impact with his performances.

In four seasons so far with Los Vikingos, he has only played in a total of 74 games in all competitions, 49 in the domestic league, and have only scored 14 goals and registered 11 assists.

In 14 appearances out of Real's 23 games so far in La Liga this season, he was able to score only two times after starting only four games as he had always played behind a deep scoring lineup of Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Gareth Bale.

Caught Offside first reported that Jürgen Klopp would "put a £15 million offer on the table to tempt them into letting him go" and that Real is open to selling Jesé because the club is allegedly raising funds for its planned bid for Chelsea's Eden Hazard this summer.

However, the latest report from the Daily Express said that the bid could go up to £23 million as Klopp has reportedly "asked his board to make an approach" for the 5-foot-10, Las Palmas, Spain native.

The 48-year-old German head coach is said to be predicting Jesé as the answer to the Reds' goal scoring problems up front.

Other big-name teams that are reportedly interested in Jesé are Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC from the English Premier League, and Inter Milan and SSC Napoli from the Italian Serie A.
