The web drama, which stars Chinese actress Crystal Zhang and actor Peter Sheng, quickly gained popularity following its debut. Now, according to Jaynestars, the production crew behind "Go Princess Go" is set to make a sequel.

"Go Princess Go" will also be getting the cinema treatment. Reports indicate that a movie version of the web drama is currently in the works.

"Go Princess Go" started off as an unassuming web drama on a website called LeTV, and only took a mere 900,000 RMB to produce. But it proved its viewership prowess after the production gained an estimated 41 million, thanks to more than 2 million viewers.

According to reviews, viewers were attracted to the unique plot which depicts bisexuality as its main theme.

According to ChinaYes, "Go Princess Go" is currently unavailable for streaming. The web drama was taken down from LeTV recently after allegedly attracting  the attention of China's media gatekeeper, SAPPRFT.  An edited version of "Go Princess Go" has reportedly been re-uploaded to the site with the sexual scenes edited out.

However, Gan Wei, the producer of the web drama, has denied the claims and stated that the drama was not taken down due to said scenes, saying that they purposely took the drama offline in order to alter the storyline.
