‘From Vegas to Macau 3’ Slammed by Cinema in Gansu as ‘Waste of Money’

Despite its success in the Hong Kong and China, 'From Vegas to Macau 3' has received several bad reviews. A cinema in Gansu recently slammed the movie for "cheating people of their money."
'From Vegas to Macau 3' was recently released in theaters in time for the Chinese New Year celebrations. The movie has been a success so far, earning an estimated $1.7 million and $64 million in the Hong Kong's and China's box offices respectively.

But, director Wong Jing's latest installment to the franchise has not received good reviews. According to AsianPop News, a theater in the Gansu has issued an apology to its patrons, and criticized the movie on their official Weibo page.
This cinema in Gansu also slammed the actors, who starred in 'From Vegas to Macau 3,' noting that they failed to choose a proper script for the film.
"We [also] cannot understand why Hong Kong films have deteriorated to this state," the post on Weibo reads, adding that the movie is "unethical" and that it was a waste of money on the part of the audience.
In the post, people are discouraged from watching the film.
The post stated that the cinema will be showing 'From Vegas to Macau 3' on a once a day basis only. In contrast to that, the cinema will be showing 'The Monkey King 2' and 'The Mermaid' several times a day with the latter scheduled for up to eight screenings a day.
'From Vegas to Macau 3' is still showing in theaters around the country. The movie stars Chow Yun Fat, Carina Lau and Andy Lau among others, as well as a cameo appearance by South Korean singer Psy.
