The award was the second in a row for the Timberwolves with Andrew Wiggins winning the feat last year in New York.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Lakers sophomore guard and Gilas Pilipinas prospect Jordan Clarkson contributed 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the game for the USA team.
Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell chipped in 23 points and 22 points respectively. The NBA Western Conference Rookie of the Month for three consecutive months (November to January) and LaVine's teammate Karl-Anthony Towns finished the night with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners.
New York Knicks' Latvian Kristaps Porzingis and Congolese Emmanuel Mudiay of the Denver Nuggets scored 30 points each, while the Canadian star Andrew Wiggins of the Timberwolves added 29 points for the World team.
Wiggins, who was the 2014 NBA draft 1st overall pick, was the star attraction of the friendly rubber match for most of the fans watching. The locals of the city have called the Toronto-born sophomore "Maple Jordan" and hope for the 2015 NBA Rookie of the Year to come home and wear the jersey of the Raptors.
"It felt great," the Kansas University product said. "I got to play in front of a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time. My family, friends got to watch it. It was great being back home and playing in front of my hometown."
