Zheng Saisai's journey to the top of the tournament has come to an end as she suffered a loss to Italian Sara Errani 7-5, 6-3 in the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Women's Tennis Open in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.
Zheng, who entered the last 28 of the tennis tournament by beating the world no.49 Varvara Lepchenko of the United States in two straight sets 7-5, 6-1, failed to extend her winning-run as fatigue caused the elite Chinese tennis player's performance to slow down, allowing Errani take advantage to claim the victory.

The 2010 Summer Youth Olympics singles silver medalist Zheng won three qualifier matches in a row in Dubai between Saturday to Monday, along with a three-set doubles victory with her partner Xu Yifan.
"I lost this match because I slowed down in the middle of the first set, as I also felt tired," admitted by the Shaanxi native who is currently ranked world no. 72 by the Women's Tennis Association.
The 22-year-old Chinese tennis player said that she will remain in Dubai and will compete for the doubles event of the tournament with Xu in the 24th edition of the 2001 WTA's Premier Tournament of the Year, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Errani, who will advance to the second round of the competition, will be facing the Russian-born Kazakhstani Yaroslava Shvedova, who defeated the Italian Roberta Vinci 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 in their opening round match.
Errani, 28, started tennis at the early age of five. She plays right handed (double handed backhand) and likes to play in the hard surface.
She had her career high singles ranking of world no. 5 on May 20, 2013 and her career high doubles ranking of world no. 1 on September 10, 2012. Errani's current doubles ranking is no. 59.
