(Photo : Reuters) Fans have come together to create a concept design of the Ford Bronco, which many believe the auto company will release in 2020.

Auto manufacturer Ford is yet to announce whether it is resurrecting the Bronco line of vehicles which was discontinued in 1996. However, some dedicated fans have taken their time to create an imaginative rendering of what the famous 4x4 will look like should Ford decide to revive it.

Rumors have been making rounds in the motoring community that Ford is planning to release a new version of the Bronco. Many believe that Ford will release a new Bronco model in 2020.

The imaginative concept design of the vehicle were first posted on Broco6G.com. In an email sent to Road & Track, a Bronco6G administrator wrote, "Our concept features a modern body-on-frame next-generation Bronco that retains a tall, boxy, tough, no-frills design with a strong focus on utility and off-capabilities."

The administrator, who goes by the name Tom added, "We fitted separate versions with different grilles, wheel fender shapes, varying ride heights, and cargo rack for some different looks."

The rendering shows a Bronco concept car that sports the classic round headlights with square inset front grille which made the first generation Bronco iconic. The unofficial Bronco rendering also had the Ford blue oval or the Bronco name spelled out in boxy letters.

Rumors have it that the sixth-generation Bronco will be built at Ford's plant located in Wayne, Michigan. Should Ford decide to build a new Bronco, experts believe that the Jeep Wrangler will be its closest competitor.

Ford Bronco is a 2-door utility vehicle which was first produced in 1966. Ford produced five distinct generations of the Bronco. When it was first introduced in 1966, Ford marketed the Bronco as a competitor to small compact SUVs like the Jeep CJ-5.

Ford took a leap and released a bigger and redesigned Bronco in 1978. With this transition, the Bronco competed with the likes of Dodge Ramcharger and the Chevy K5 Blazer.
