NBA Recap: Atlanta Hawks Rout Chicago Bulls, Jeff Teague Scores 19 Points

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Starting guard Jeff Teague led the Hawks with a team-high 19 points to go along with nine assists and two steals as they routed the Bulls.
Eastern Conference fifth leading team Atlanta Hawks snapped their three-game losing skid at the expense of the Chicago Bulls with a 103-88 win at the Philips Arena on Friday night.
Starting guard Jeff Teague led the Hawks with a team-high 19 points to go along with nine assists and two steals in over 31 minutes of playing. Center Al Horford finished the game with 18 points, five rebounds and four blocked shots as they crushed the injury depleted Bulls to claim their first home victory of their last four games since the All-Star break.

Forward Paul Millsap had a bad shooting night shooting 3 for 12 from the field and went 0-3 from the three-point area, but still managed to register a double-double game production of 12 points and 13 rebounds with four assists, two steal and five big block shots.
Kent Bazemore added 15 points for the Hawks, who improved their record to 32 wins and 27 losses.
The Hawks held a seven-point lead at the half-time break with 51-44. Atlanta was able to further the gap with their 28-23 run in the third quarter to stretch the gap to 12 points with the score 79-67, going in to the final period of the game.
In the final quarter, the Hawks continued to outscore the Bulls with 24-21 and never looked back as they ran away with the win.
According to a report by George Henry on the official website of the NBA, Chicago, which had won three successive games," struggled with Butler, Rose and Nikola Mirotic sidelined by injuries". The 2011 NBA MVP is out for two consecutive games due to a sore right hamstring while the team's second-best rebounder Joakim Noah is also in the injured list with a sore shoulder.
Doug McDermott finished with 20 points and Paul Gasol had 16 points and 17 rebounds for the Bulls.
The Bulls will be hosting the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, while the Charlotte Hornets will visit the Hawks on Sunday.
