Chinese smartphone maker ZTE has announced that its latest wearable called the iCharming Smart Ring is now available on Amazon for $350.
ZTE's latest iCharming Smart Ring wearable device was introduced at the 2016 Mobile World Congress in Bacelona, Spain. The wearable caught the attention of many gadget enthusiasts because of its unique feature that could be a huge help to anyone in distress - the device features an SOS gesture that can mark the user's location and alert a trusted contact.

The iCharming Ring was originally released in China last year at the Mobile World Congress that was held in Shanghai, but it has not gotten a lot of publicity in the West. In terms of the appearance of the ring, it has a huge Zirkon crystal that comes in one of six colors (chocolate, gold, red, purple, blue, or indigo), while the ring itself is made from hand-polished 925 sterling silver.
Under the crystal structure of the device is where all the smarts are located, which mostly come in the form of sensors for basic fitness tracking. The device is able to track a user's steps taken and distance traveled. The ring also has Bluetooth on board. The device will flash whenever there is a notification of a connected phone. This device is both supported on Android and iOS operating system.
The Bluetooth connectivity of the device is quite impressive because it features a lost and found tracker, which will notify users by flashing and buzzing if they will get out of range of their respective smartphones. According to ZTE, the battery of the ring can last one week when fully charge.
Another thing that makes this device more interesting is the hand gesture control feature. Through this feature, a user can accept calls and it can also act as a camera shutter. Wearers can use an app to designate a trusted contact in case of emergency. In case of crisis, the wearer can use the SOS gesture, which will log that user's current location and send it as an alert to a designated contact.
ZTE iCharming Ring is now available on Amazon for the price of $350.
