CBA Semifinals Recap: Liaoning Flying Leopards Rout Guangdong Southern Tigers to Lead Series 2-0

(Photo : gettyimages.com) Lester Hudson fired 31 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the Flying Leopards to their fifth straight win in the postseason of the league.
The league's top team Liaoning Flying Leopards continued their supremacy over the Guangdong Southern Tigers with a 103-88 victory to take a commanding 2-0 lead of their semifinal series of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Sunday.
American Lester Hudson, a two-time CBA Most Valuable Player, continued to dominate as he fired 31 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the Flying Leopards to their fifth straight win in the postseason of the league. Former Boston Celtic player Shavlik Randolph contributed 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners.

Liaoning's Chinese star guard Guo Ailun had 11 points, 6 boards and 3 assists, while forward Li Xiaoxu finished the game with a double-double production of 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Chinese center Han Dejun was a rebound short to replicate his double-double first game performance as he scored 12 points and 9 boards during the game.
Liaoning dominated almost the whole game as they outrebounded the Southern Tigers with a 51 to 39 rebound comparison. The Flying Leopards were also ruling the shaded area during the game as they managed to score 60 points, while Guangdong was limited to just 36 points on the paint.
Liaoning was only leading with a slim 4 points at the end of the first half with the scores at 51-47. In the third quarter, Liaoning fired a 30-20 run stretching their lead to 14 points 81-67 going in to the final twelve minutes of the match.
In the fourth quarter, Liaoning was able to extend the lead and contained Guangdong to just 21 points while they scored a better 22 points to seal the victory and move closer to the Finals.
Chinese basketball superstar Jianlian Yi led Guangdong with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Nigerian-American Ike Diogu added 21 points and 7 boards.
Foreign reinforcement Justin Carter finished the game with just 12 points and 12 rebounds, while forward Zhou Peng had 21 points for the Southern Tigers.
