Damian Lillard erupted with 33 points to whip the Indiana Pacers with a 111-102 victory at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Sunday evening.

Indiana Head Coach Frank Vogel pointed out that the Portland's ace guard is playing close to the same level as Stephen Curry  of the NBA's Leading team Golden State Warriors. But Lillard has made it clear that that is not what he is trying to do.

"I don't impersonate anybody, I was being Damian Lillard," the league's fifth leading scorer with an average of 25.2 points a game, said. "I've been just trying to come out and be in attack mode and set the tone from the start of games. It's just been necessary to go out there and be in attack mode and get our team in that aggressive mindset."

CJ McCollumn and Gerald Henderson scored 19 points apiece for the Trail Blazers, who have won eight of the last ten games they played.

With the win, the Trail Blazers now hold a 32-28 record which is the same with the sixth ranked Dallas Mavericks. They have strengthened their place in the final eight of the Western Conference as they are three victories ahead of the eighth ranked Houston Rockets (who have a 29-30 record), and four wins away with the Utah Jazz (who are in the ninth place with a 28-30 record).

The Trail Blazer dominated the game. They capped the first half with an eleven-point lead 65-54 and ended the third quarter leading with ten points 87-77.

In the final quarter of the game, Portland stretched their lead to 20 points with a little over eight minutes left to play.

Portland connected 14 three-pointers out of the 24 attempts they fired from beyond the arc area, while Indiana, who have lost two straight games in a row, managed to drop just 3-of-14 from the three-point marker.

Monta Ellis scored 18 points and Jordan Hill contributed 15 off the bench for the Pacers. Paul George finished the game with 11 points while shooting 4-of-15 from the field and went zero for four from the three-point line.
