Social networking giant Facebook has started rolling out its Live Video streaming feature to several regions outside of its native United States. The feature was first introduced as an exclusive feature for selected iOS users and celebrities, but it eventually found it way on many more iOS devices. Recently, Facebook announced that it is rolling out the feature to 30 more countries and added that it will also roll it out on the Android platform.

Facebook's Live Video streaming feature will reportedly be finally available on the Android platform by early March. Android users in the United States will be the first to receive the update, followed by other regions. The feature will also be released to Facebook Pages in the coming weeks as well.

Many tech analysts consider Live Video as the main selling point of Facebook in the past few months. The social networking giant has been working on features in order to further broaden its scope and has now tapped videos captured real-time.

Facebook claims that its users spend three times longer when watching live videos than videos that are not live. The company added that all of those watching contents through Facebook Live, at least 50 percent of them are Android users.

In a statement, Facebook announced, "To share live video, simply tap "What's on your mind?" at the top of News Feed and select the Live Video icon. You can write a quick description and select the audience before going live."

Once users end the live broadcast, the full length of the video will be posted on their timeline as a recorded video. Users will have the option to delete the video if they want to.

Most of the time, Facebook adds new features to its app without formally announcing it. The best way to check these new updates is to restart the app.
