La Liga giants Real Madrid are reportedly targeting two players from last season's English Premier League titlists Chelsea FC, namely midfielder Cesc Fabregas and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Metro reported that the 28-year-old Fabregas is "one of a number of big names in Real Madrid's transfer plans this summer" with the Spain international showing improvement in his form as the Blues are enjoying a midseason resurgence in the English top flight.

Current Real head coach Zinedine Zidane, who is allegedly unsure if he will remain as Los Vikingos' manager next season, is said to have included Fabregas in his summer transfer wishlist.

However, the report noted that because the 5-foot-9 Arenys de Mar, Spain native was a former player of Los Blancos' arch-rival Barcelona, Zidane's desire to sign him would be a "surprise and controversial move" on the part of the Spanish capital city squad if it does push through.

Meanwhile, Caught Offside indicated that Chelsea's 23-year-old goalkeeper Courtois is demanding an exit at the Stamford Bridge in the summer and that the Belgium international is "willing to listen to new offers".

Real is said to be alerted by the Belgian's demands and has also become one of the team's "top transfer priorities ahead of the summer window".

Zidane is reportedly eager to establish a new goal tender at the Bernabéu next season as current number one Keylor Navas has not performed up to par, with Los Merengues allowing 25 goals in 26 games from their opponents in the domestic league.

Real is said to have given up on Manchester United goalie David De Gea, who had been their initial target since last summer. De Gea and the Red Devils have allegedly made amends, which shifted Los Blancos' attention to the Bree, Belgium native.

Aside from Fabregas and Courtois, the Bernabéu residents are said to be targeting Chelsea winger Eden Hazard, who was the 2014-2015 Premier League Player of the Season when the Blues won the EPL trophy.
